One of the benefits of Phased Array lies in focusing the beam at different depths by setting it within the software.Another important benefit is its beam steering capability.
The beam steering feature is used for solid axle inspection in instances where the wheel blocks access to the wheel seat. Because of beam steering and sector scan, the inspection can take place with extreme sensitivity and provides ability to distinguish the noise from the shrinking of the wheel and the small cracking on the axle.
For other applications such as wheel inspection, electronic scanning and electronic focusing provide a key advantage to achieve high productivity and reliable inspection.
